OUR STORY

MOUNTAIN VIEW IS ABOUT JESUS AND THE GOSPEL

Mountain View is a family of believers—where Jesus is first, people are loved, and the gospel of grace is center stage. We are serious about His truth and mission. We love God and each other, we grow together in God’s word, and we seek to serve others with authentic grace and humility. OUR MISSION

We are a church family centered on Jesus, welcoming people from every background to discover the hope, grace, and new life found in Him.

 

Through meaningful relationships, intentional discipleship, and a shared love for God and others, we grow together in faith and learn how to live out the gospel in everyday life—at home, in our church, and in our community—so lives are changed and God is glorified.

 

At Mountain View Baptist Church we have emphasized this purpose in our four-part mission statement:

We joyfully share the good news of the gospel, inviting people from every background to experience forgiveness, hope, and a new life through Him. The gospel is for everyone and we are committed to proclaiming it clearly and lovingly in our community and beyond.

Grow in the Gospel

We help believers grow in their faith through biblical teaching and intentional discipleship. As we grow in our understanding of God's Word and our walk with Christ, we are shaped into mature followers who reflect His truth and grace.

Connect through the Gospel

We are a church family connected by the gospel, building meaningful relationships rooted in the love of Jesus. Through Christ-centered community, we encourage one another, carry each other’s burdens, and grow stronger together.

Live the Gospel

We seek to live out the gospel in everyday life—at home, at work, and in our community. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we strive to love others, serve faithfully, and reflect Jesus in all we do so that our lives point people to Him.
